daniel joseph.

As per his highwater profile…

If you grow up in Newark, NJ listening to Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Led Zeppelin, Al Green, Sly and The Family Stone, and anything else other than hip hop at a young age-You will most likely be in touch with Daniel Joseph. Formerly Espee One of the group Bully Mouth. Daniel Joseph makes music dedicated to those with an appreciation for going against the grain and above the bar. With the ability to adjust to any type of track. Daniel leaves a lot of people listing him as “that good different”. Lyrical content beyond the norm, and complimenting any beat with his signature voice is what D. Joseph takes pride in. Along with a long line of respect and credibility in the tough NJ/NY hip hop market with his music, Daniel is also an all around artist. Photography, Illustration, and Short stories are a few parts of Art that make Joseph’s craft come full circle.

Not only is Dan an amazing artist, he’s a real stand-up guy! I’m so excited to have him on the bill for the show; he has an awesome presence (and a cute She She too). Check out High Water Music and don’t forget to come hear him live!

matt beilis & the waverly grand

As per the artist’s bio…

Matt Beilis inhabits a musical space not previously explored – a place where soul and hip-hop grooves meet the electricity of a rock band. One might call Matt an Elton John Legend or a Maroon Folds 5. His wildly anticipated album, being released this summer, showcases this eclectic blend of R&B Rock that’s catchy enough to top pop radio charts.

Matt’s audiences walk away from live shows with an adrenaline rush and a memory full of meaningful lyrics. First time show goers are turned into instant fans. Do not miss your chance to discover the hottest new act in music.

Check out more of Matt’s videos here.  And remember to check the band out, live, on May 22nd!

Kanibal Home is a home furnishings and lifestyle store comprised of reupholstered furniture, vintage dishware, found objects, one-of-a-kind jewelry and an eco-friendly apparel collection, among others. But even more than the objects, Kanibal Home is the belief that pretty things make life beautiful.

Located in downtown Jersey City, Kanibal Home is owned/run by the lovely Kristen Scalia.  Kristen gets a special shout out for being the kind of person that inspires others.  From the day I moved to JC, she’s been a huge support.  It’s amazing to see a (young) girl who is, not only on top of her game, but supports the community in so many ways – by sponsoring local events, supporting local artists…the list goes on.  To top it all off, Kanibal Home carries lots of awesome, awesome stuff (I never leave empty handed).

Check out the website here.  To keep up with the Kristen, check out the blog!
